Financial Collateral Examination Associate

Responsibilities

• Review and audit financial records such as bank statements, bills of sale, trial balances, etc., and tax documentation to ensure compliance with repayment terms
• Inspect inventory physically and assess condition to confirm collateralized position when necessary
• Reconcile discrepancies with the customer and document details to support final financial review and inventory inspection results
• Build relationships with customers by setting expectations, answering questions, providing support with payment systems, and raising customer growth inquiries to commercial and portfolio teams
• Communicate with manager, account manager, and peers to resolve issues and escalate risks
• Exercise judgment in determining the cause of discrepancies

• 6+ months of Finance/Financial Examiner experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
• 6+ months of auditing experience (e.g., inventory auditing in restaurant or retail industries)
• 6+ months of customer service experience
• Supply Chain Finance experience
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Able to anticipate and adapt to a rapidly changing, growth-oriented environment
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Outstanding problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
• Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
• Proficient knowledge of business practices and processes
• Ability to work with limited supervision
• Ability to negotiate with customers to obtain necessary documentation
• Strong problem‑solving and mathematical skills
