Mission Hires is hiring an experienced Commercial Loan Officer to originate, develop, and manage a diverse portfolio of commercial loans for a community-focused financial institution. You will drive portfolio growth, deepen client relationships, ensure compliant loan processing, and represent the organization in the market to expand brand presence and referral networks.
Responsibilities- Proactively identify, develop, and manage new and existing commercial lending relationships
- Solicit commercial loan applications and serve as primary client contact throughout the lending process
- Analyze creditworthiness, structure deals, and ensure thorough, compliant documentation
- Maintain strong knowledge of commercial products, credit policies, and industry regulations
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate loan processing, closing, and servicing
- Cross‑sell complementary financial services to drive revenue and client value
- Monitor portfolio performance, manage risk, and conduct ongoing client reviews and engagement
- Represent the organization at community and business events to promote visibility and generate referrals
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in commercial or business lending and servicing within a financial institution
- Proven success in a sales‑driven environment focused on portfolio growth and client satisfaction
- Strong understanding of commercial lending products, regulations, and financial analysis
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships and community connections
- Ability to possess or develop an existing commercial loan portfolio
- Expertise in commercial loan origination, portfolio management, financial analysis, and risk assessment
- Excellent sales, communication, and relationship‑building skills
