PSD is hosting an Integrated Services (Special Education) Hiring Event on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from approximately 4:00 pm - 9:00pm, where we will be conducting in-person interviews for this and other licensed positions for the school year. If you are selected for an interview, we will notify you no later than February 24, 2026, with further details. This pool is for multiple positions at various sites.

Pay for this position is determined by the Licensed Educator Salary Schedule based on years of experience and education. Range for position is $58,000 - $89,278 annually (based on a 100% assignment starting August 6th, 2025).
SUMMARYResponsible for assessing and providing occupational therapy for students ranging from Kindergarten to 12th grade and encouraging functional independence and participation within the learning environment. Provide therapy based on student’s Individualized Educational Program (IEP).
JOB TASKS- Develop, plan, prepare, and implement: a) Individual, measurable, long-term, and short-term objectives based on student identified needs. b) Effective working schedule. c) Appropriate use of assigned aide/volunteers or OT students.
- Apply therapy techniques, strategies, and intervention to enhance/motivate students to meet IEP goals and objectives and evaluate student performance based on IEPs.
- Maintain necessary documentation of student performance and write clear and concise diagnostic results.
- Provide: a) And maintain student involvement during instruction and establish expectations for appropriate behavior. b) Assistance with self-help skills, foundational gross motor skills, mobility skills, posture, and positioning, as well as recreational skills for age-appropriate play.
- Monitor student growth and progress, adapt support as needed, and maintain documentation pertinent to academic, social, and emotional progress and needs of students.
- Communicate students’ progress and needs with parents/guardians and other staff as needed.
- Collaborate: a) With teachers, support personnel, administrators, and colleagues to improve student outcomes. b) With colleagues in team and building-based meetings and discussions.
- Demonstrate a commitment to: a) Understand, appreciate, and make accommodations for student diversity. b) Include and engage families in the student’s education. c) Support all Poudre School District policies, procedures, and expectations. d) Provide personal and professional excellence.
- Participate in: a) Multi-disciplinary diagnostic and placement teams. b) Department, team, building, and district meetings and discussions. c) Student and/or family conferences and other meetings. d) Social, cultural, interscholastic, and extracurricular activities. e) Professional growth opportunities.
- Attend work and arrive in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited occupational therapy program required.
- Pediatric training and experience required.
- Experience instructing students in a school setting preferred.
- Criminal background check required for hire.
- Valid Colorado driver’s license.
- Valid Colorado Special Services license with Occupational Therapist endorsement required.
- Current certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) required.
- Valid Occupational Therapist license through the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) required.
- CPR and First Aid certifications encouraged.
