A company is looking for a Peer Specialist-First Responder or Veteran.
Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one and group peer support services to first responders, military service members, and veterans in a virtual environment Conduct outreach activities to raise awareness about issues faced by first responders and veterans, and collaborate with professionals to ensure comprehensive care Serve as a case manager for assigned patients, coordinating therapy and discharge planning as directed by the treatment team
Required Qualifications , Training, and Education Must have served in the military with an honorable discharge Associates degree required, preferably in psychology or a related field Completion of a peer support training program or certification required Personal experience with challenges related to military or first responder service is preferred Familiarity with resources available to First Responders and Veterans is preferred
