SummaryPerforms laboratory testing of patient specimens in one or more sections of the laboratory.
Responsibilities- Performs diagnostic/analytic testing of specimens. Interprets, documents and reports test results.
- Performs quality control testing, instrument maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Complies with good laboratory practice and regulatory requirements.
- Performs projects as assigned and serves as a resource to laboratory staff and other clinical staff as needed.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment and take appropriate action.
- Bachelor's degree and graduation from an accredited Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist program.
- Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) by the American Medical Technologists (AMT) or as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or categorical ASCP certification in a laboratory specialty/sub‑specialty applicable to job responsibilities.
- State licensure if required by law.
- Certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
Pay: $33.82 – $50.73 per hour (dependent on relevant experience). 40 hours per week, full time.
Work schedule:
nights. This position is onsite; no hybrid or remote option.
