Field Service Technician

We are supporting a global leader in electrical test and measurement instrumentation in hiring an additional Field Service Technician due to increasing service demand.

This is a hands-on, technically rigorous role supporting the repair, calibration, and servicing of sophisticated high-voltage test equipment, both in-house and at customer sites.

• Repair, calibrate, and maintain high-voltage testing systems at the OEM facility and customer sites.
• Perform equipment bring-up, calibration, and final quality testing prior to delivery.
• Provide accurate calibration and service documentation to customers.
• Deliver remote technical support via phone, email, and MS Teams.
• Support regional service centers with diagnostics and pre-repair assessments.
• Troubleshoot to the component level and perform electronic repairs, including precision soldering.
• Interface with Engineering on technical issues, design feedback, and ECO implementation.
• Work closely with Service Management and Sales to resolve complex customer needs.
• Manage inventory by identifying non-repairable parts and processing returns.
• Follow documented procedures in accordance with ISO standards to ensure zero-defect outcomes.

• 25-50%, primarily national with occasional travel to Canada and Mexico.
• A mix of planned maintenance and reactive service visits.

• Education: Associate’s degree in Electronics or equivalent hands-on experience (2+ years).
• Fundamentals: Strong grasp of electronics and the ability to read/interpret complex schematics.
• Tools: Proficient with DMMs, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, and HV probes.
• Troubleshooting: Proven experience in component-level diagnostics.

• Prior experience with High-Voltage (HV) equipment.
• Background in Field Service or on-site technical support.
• Exposure to calibration, compliance, or highly regulated ISO environments.
