Terrestrial Data Manager Assistant – Denver

THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION (9 MONTHS OR LESS) - PAYING $20.00 PER HOUR

EMPLOYMENT STARTS 4/27/2026 THROUGH 1/27/2026.

The mission of the Colorado Department of Natural Resources is to develop, preserve, and enhance the state’s natural resources for the benefit and enjoyment of current and future citizens and visitors. Assist the Terrestrial Data Manager with tasks related to Wildlife Tracker and Mandatory Reporting.

• Location and mortality data validation related to active and historic collar projects
• Supporting field staff
• Developing and testing new methods for data collection for mandatory report species
• Big game data validation
• Other tasks as assigned

• Candidates must be able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Willingness to learn and work with limited supervision
• Remote work locations are allowed, although must be willing to commute to Denver for limited in-person projects
• Preference will be given to applicants with experience with R, SQL, and relational databases
