Role summary:
The Branch Manager oversees daily store operations to achieve or surpass sales and margin goals, promote sales, deliver excellent customer service, manage inventory levels, and control expenses through purchase monitoring. It also ensures facility and staff adherence to safety and regulatory standards, guides team members in providing efficient customer service, maintains good housekeeping, and optimizes overall operational efficiency.
Provide professional customer service for all internal and external customers and call-in product, pricing, and technical inquiries.
Support the outside sales team in maintaining existing client relationships and securing new business.
Ensure accurate and timely daily processing of financial transactions, including cash reports, charge tickets, coding, costing, pricing, daily cash summaries, and bank deposits.
Maintain the accuracy of back order, open order, and Purchase Order (PO) expedite reports.
Manage and establish appropriate cylinder and hard goods inventory levels for the branch.
Supervise and conduct training for inside sales associates on product knowledge, company policies, processes, procedures, and safety, guaranteeing all associates can execute essential branch functions.
Conduct periodic performance reviews for branch associates.
Act as a liaison between employees and management, offering performance guidance and direction in collaboration with Human Resources and senior management.
Pay range: $75,000 - $100,000 Annual
Incentive pay: This position is eligible for incentive compensation in the following program: quarterly bonus program
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in a science, business, or related field. Four years of related experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the sales and distribution of industrial gases, welding supplies, or similar industrial products.
At least two (2) years of experience in a managerial capacity.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Strong organizational skills and detail-orientation, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to promote a team player attitude and effectively work with a diverse group of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
Strong retail sales and customer service skills.
Knowledge of welding applications and equipment.
