The Manager, Branch Operations leads the day-to-day operations of a branch location with accountability for safe, efficient, accurate, and customer-focused execution of branch functions. This role oversees branch workflow, team performance, inventory control, warehouse and production activities, order fulfillment, delivery coordination, facility organization, safety compliance, and operational service standards. The Manager, Branch Operations provides direction to branch employees, reinforces company policies and procedures, monitors operational performance, resolves branch-level issues, and supports consistent execution of branch priorities in alignment with business needs.

Salary:

$75K - $100K Annually (+ Incentive) | DOE

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily branch operations to ensure safe, efficient, accurate, and customer-focused execution of customer service, order fulfillment, inventory, warehouse, production, delivery, and shipping activities.
  • Supervise, coach, schedule, train, and support branch employees to meet performance expectations, service standards, productivity goals, safety requirements, and branch priorities.
  • Assign work, monitor workflow, adjust priorities, and ensure branch activities are completed accurately, safely, and on time.
  • Support customer service execution by ensuring orders, pickups, deliveries, counter service, and branch communications are handled professionally and in accordance with company standards.
  • Monitor branch operational performance, including workflow, productivity, quality, inventory accuracy, safety compliance, service levels, and facility organization; identify and address branch-level issues.
  • Support branch financial discipline by monitoring labor use, purchasing activity, inventory levels, operating expenses, supplies, and other cost-related branch inputs.
  • Ensure branch operations comply with company policies, procedures, quality standards, safety requirements, equipment expectations, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee inventory control activities, including receiving, stocking, cycle counts, product allocation, item location accuracy, damaged product prevention, purchasing coordination, and shipment accuracy.
  • Coordinate hose assembly, light production, quality checks, packaging, staging, customer pickup, local delivery, and shipment preparation to ensure work is completed accurately and safely.
  • Review and maintain accurate operational documentation, order information, inventory records, invoices, branch reports, training records, and safety documentation.
  • Communicate branch priorities, staffing needs, operational issues, safety concerns, customer service issues, and improvement recommendations to the General Manager or District Manager.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and professional branch environment; ensure employees complete required safety and equipment training and follow safe work practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Work Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in business, operations, supply chain, management, or a related field preferred.
  • Typically requires at least six years of related branch, warehouse, distribution, customer service, production, inventory, or operations experience.
  • Prior supervisory, team lead, or branch operations leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting branch workflow, inventory control, order fulfillment, warehouse or production activities, safety compliance, and customer service execution preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, coach, train, and support branch employees while fostering teamwork, accountability, and professional service.
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, prioritization, and follow-through skills in a fast-paced branch, warehouse, distribution, or operations environment.
  • Ability to organize daily work, assign tasks, monitor workflow, adjust priorities, and ensure branch activities are completed accurately and on time.
  • Strong working knowledge of branch operations, inventory control, order fulfillment, warehouse processes, customer service execution, production, delivery, quality expectations, and safety requirements.
  • Ability to review branch performance information, monitor operating costs, identify branch-level issues, and recommend practical improvements.
