UCHealth Mountain Crest Behavioral Health Center has an excellent opportunity for a PRN Family Nurse Practitioner who possesses empathy, talent, drive, and a “patients first” mentality.
Responsibilities- Good communicator, works well both autonomously and in a team environment, and is adaptable.
- Has 1+ years' experience in a behavioral health setting.
- Contribute to the multidisciplinary inpatient psychiatric team by providing care for patients with identified medical needs.
- Complete admission history and physicals for all inpatient psychiatric patients ages 13 and older.
- Manage ongoing acute and chronic medical needs including transfer to a higher level of care if needed.
- Cover 24/7 facility including weekends and holidays, with hours between 8 AM - 8 PM.
- Comfortable working both independently and on diverse teams; demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication.
- Master's degree in Nursing and graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Certification issued by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB), or American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) and must be maintained throughout employment.
- Unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license issued by the State Board of Nursing in Colorado or compact privileges under the multi‑state Nurse Licensure Compact agreement.
- Unrestricted medical staff membership with appropriate practice privileges.
- Prescriptive authority: provisional working towards full prescriptive authority or full prescriptive authority.
- Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe all medications commonly prescribed in practice.
- Eligible to provide reimbursable services and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid.
- Eligible to provide services with no sanctions or exclusion from either the Health and Human Services/Office of Inspectors General (HHS/OIG) or the General Services Administration's (GSA) List of Parties Excluded from Federal Programs.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
- Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in Colorado.
- Physician Assistant Certification (PA‑C) issued by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and must be maintained throughout employment.
- Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe all medications commonly prescribed in practice.
- Eligible to provide reimbursable services and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid.
- Eligible to provide services with no sanctions or exclusion from either the HHS/OIG or the GSA List of Parties Excluded from Federal Programs.
- Unrestricted medical staff membership with appropriate practice privileges.
- Prescriptive authority.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Pay range: $47.37 – $70.06 per hour, dependent on relevant experience. Optional quality and/or productivity bonus may be offered.
