Description:
The position involves providing family-centered care for postpartum mothers and newborns.
The nursing unit cares for patients following vaginal and cesarean births.
It focuses on late preterm and term newborns, as well as infants requiring extended observation.
Client recovery and newborn well-being, patient education, and safe transition to home are central to care.
Care includes administration of various treatments and medications, infant assessments, and patient education.
The registered nurse will float to similar units as needed to meet facility requirements.
Standard nursing care equipment is utilized on the unit.
Interdisciplinary support is available from various specialized teams.
The nursing staff is expected to comply with facility policies and complete necessary training modules within the first week of assignment.
The nursing environment emphasizes teamwork and quality patient care.
