Position Details

Salary: $38.48/hr shift:
Part‑time (11 PM–7 AM, 7 AM–3 PM or 3 PM–11 PM). Must be available to work at least 66% of weekend shifts per month and major holidays.

Role Summary

The Quality Assurance Relief Technician supports lab analysis and quality control across brewing and packaging operations in a fast‑paced, high‑speed manufacturing environment. This role performs routine analyses, monitoring, and statistical studies to uphold quality standards.

Job Responsibilities
  • Run routine analytical analyses on beer samples (pH, density, alcohol, sodium, iron).
  • Run routine analyses of packaged beer (oxygen, carbon dioxide, fill level, etc.).
  • Test pasteurizers for proper pasteurization.
  • Inspect and analyze package integrity and specifications.
  • Coordinate quality analyses ensuring accurate results, timely completion, and appropriate communication.
  • Conduct studies and perform statistical analyses to improve quality throughout the brewery.
  • Perform other routine laboratory testing as needed.
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Food Science, Fermentation Science or a closely related science.
  • Ability to operate laboratory instruments, perform basic instrument maintenance, and apply laboratory procedures.
  • Strong technical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work weekend/holiday shifts, including midnight, day, and afternoon shifts. Availability during the week is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Understanding of brewing and packaging processes, HACCP, and Good Manufacturing Practices for food manufacturing is a plus.
