** Position Summary
** We are seeking applicants for a research technician in plant-soil-microbe interactions. The project seeks to characterize and identify associated physiological and morphological root traits that enhance both water and nitrogen acquisition, using sorghum as the model crop. Specifically, the technician will assist in designing and implementing a greenhouse experiment to quantify plant below ground carbon allocation patterns and their relationships with nitrogen mineralization from soil organic matter using isotopic methods.

The research team includes expertise in plant physiology, soil science, microbial ecology, irrigation management, and agroecosystem ecology.

** Minimum Qualifications
*** Master’s Degree in Soil Science by January 2026. Experience working with stable carbon isotope gas flux systems.
** Preferred Qualifications
