In this position, you will have direct training with a mass spec with potential to cross train on a variety of instrumentation including extraction platforms, digital PCR platforms, NGS, as well as other functions in the company.
Full-time and part-time positions are available.
PrimaryJob Duties
- Process daily sample load, extracting nucleic acids and setting up mass spec.
- Maintain quality control batch records, and good documentation under ISO 13485 practices
- Track production data, QC data, and inventory accurately
- Identify issues occurred in testing labs and elevate issues to supervisor’s attention
- Maintain a clean and organized lab space and preparation of all materials and consumables for instrumentation
- Assist in new mass spectrometry and/or analytical instrumentation method development and validation studies
- Prepare and quality control of standard solutions, with guidance
- Handle all customer sample intake, processing, and data analysis using validated methods and standard operations procedures, with guidance when needed
- Be able to rotate into other production and NGS testing positions and learn new skills
- B.S. degree or higher, in one of the following disciplines – Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, or equivalent
- Basic understanding of PCR or DNA sequencing/NGS and processes
- Ability to learn sample preparation and testing on mass spec instrumentation
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to meet strict deadlines under supervision
- Good documentation skills and ability to write procedures and reports
- Having a sense of urgency and attention to details
- Having a level of flexibility and a willingness to make an impact
- Relevant experience in GMP, 5S, lean manufacturing, ISO 9001 environment and tools – ERP, LIMS, Quality Management System, etc.
- 2+ years of relevant GMP, GLP, or QC of Life Science products
$45,000 - $60,000. The base salary offered may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
