Department Overview

The Department of Psychology is part of CSU's College of Natural Sciences, serving about 1400 undergraduates and 100 graduates with 30 full-time faculty across five doctoral programs and two master’s degrees. It also houses multiple service centers and research programs, including the Tri-Ethnic Center for Prevention Research and an externally funded occupational health psychology training program. The department operates from the LEED-Gold certified Behavioral Sciences Building with modern labs and shared spaces.

Position

Summary

Research Associate positions across Applied Social and Health, Cognitive, Cognitive Neuroscience, Counseling and Industrial/Organizational psychology, and affiliated research centers. Positions can be temporary or special assignment; annual terms and reappointment may depend on performance and funding availability.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must hold a B.S. degree in an appropriate discipline. A minimum of one year of work experience is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

* Research Associate I:
* Bachelor’s degree and less than 3 years of professional post-baccalaureate experience.

* Research Associate II:
* More than 3 years of relevant professional experience for an individual with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and no other significant experience.

* Research Associate III:
* Bachelor’s with 5 years of experience or a Master’s with at least 2 years experience. Individuals with a Ph.D. with no additional experience may also be appointed.

* Research Associate IV:
* Bachelor’s with 10 years of experience or a Master’s with >5 years of experience. Individuals with a Ph.D. and at least 2 years experience may also be appointed.
