Job Description
Position Summary:
We propose supporting a bioinformatician with a strong background in computational biology to support our research missions. A bioinformatician with a Ph.D. in computational biology brings a unique combination of life science training, which is crucial for analyzing and interpreting complex biological data (e.g., WNV sequence data, RNA-seq, and pathogen discovery). This expertise will significantly enhance our ability to identify pathogens, understand genetic variations associated with human and animal diseases, and develop innovative diagnostic tools.

Research doctorate degree plus 3 years of postdoctoral work or its equivalent
experience in scientific study design
experience in next generation sequencing
experience in computational research
Job Qualifications:
Experience managing scientific projects related to next generation sequencing, especially utilizing specialized bioinformatics pipelines and Illumina and Oxford Nanopore Technology.
Essential Duties:Analyze NGS data, Meet with PI and Scientists in the Ebel lab.
Salary Range$40.00 per hour
