Job Description ## Position Summary This part-time position provides accounting services for LSC Dining and the Bookstore. The purpose of this position is to define, document, and perform processes regarding the compilation of data and monetary items to accurately reflect the LSC Dining Venues daily receipts and revenue in the University’s record system. This position also provides customer service to managers, staff, and customers for monetary needs, event payments and petty cash reimbursements.
The LSC includes the CSU Bookstore, Dining Services, Campus Activities, SLiCE, Operations, Marketing, and a wide range of business and service partners.## ##
** Essential
Job Duties:
*** Secure and manage cash vault operations, including storage, issuance, deposits, base funds, and change orders
* Determine, issue, and track register cash levels, cash bags, and petty cash for Dining and Bookstore operations
* Record, review, and reconcile daily Dining and Bookstore POS (Clover) transactions and cash room activity
* Verify, balance, and adjust daily POS totals, sales summaries, and cash reports to ensure accuracy
* Prepare, verify, and deliver cash and check deposits and distribute cash bags for subsequent business days
* Post and monitor sales, receipts, receivables, and related inventory movements in accordance with CSU procedures
* Maintain required financial records, retention schedules, secure shredding practices, and sensitive lost and found items and found items
* Provide and support internal and external customer service, process event payments and petty cash transactions, and actively engage with diverse individuals, opinions, and perspectives

*** Five years office experience
* Cash handling experience
* Microsoft Office experience particularly Outlook and Excel
