JOB DESCRIPTION

The Account Manager (AM) is responsible for building, maintaining, and expanding strong relationships with C‑suite level leaders (CEO’s, CFO’s, COO’s), student groups, and other influencers/decision‑makers in strategically important large accounts within the states of Colorado and Utah. Accounts include colleges, universities, technical or vocational schools, network partners, community‑based organizations and coalitions, corporations, and service sectors such as police and fire academies and units within a defined geography.

The AM will position NMDP Mission for optimal access and partnership within preferred donor segments and develop deep donor insights to drive growth and loyalty. The AM coordinates all activities within their territory in order to recruit potential donors to the registry.

Accountabilities
  • Develop and execute strategies that will create access to students, employees, and key contacts within targeted accounts.
  • Execute persuasive presentations and drives focused on the member value proposition to recruit targeted audiences to the registry.
  • Develop collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, leading without authority to drive alignment and coordination across the member recruitment teams.
  • Communicate effectively by using marketplace intelligence, evaluating partners’ business needs, and understanding changing dynamics within the geography. Provide sound business recommendations and demonstrate a keen ability to prioritize and execute on current and future opportunities.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the cell therapy landscape, including pathways and guidelines, and articulate how the NMDP partnership is important to donors and patients we serve.
  • Show focused and comprehensive strategic account planning skills. Develop effective business plans to enhance ethnically diverse members through well‑defined strategies and tactics.
  • Monitor and track performance of existing initiatives and adjust accordingly on sound business decisions.
Required Qualifications
  • Strategic account selling and planning.
  • Salesforce and Microsoft Office proficiency, including Excel skills.

Education And/or Experience
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or a related field, or equivalent related experience may be substituted.
  • Minimum of 3 years of successful account management and/or sales experience.
Additional Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Availability to travel 20% of the time.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous donor/member recruitment experience.
  • People management experience.
  • Experience working with cross‑functional teams.
Travel Requirements

This position requires approximately 50% travel, primarily throughout Colorado and Utah, including occasional overnight travel. Candidates must be willing and able to travel regularly within the assigned territory. The selected candidate should reside within reasonable commuting distance of Denver, Colorado.
