Job Summary

The GI Specialty Sales Representative (Pharma) will be responsible for the sales performance of the full portfolio within an assigned geographic territory through successful execution of marketing strategies. This role focuses on growing business relationships with key decision makers and influencers, providing focused detailing to specific targets with a carefully defined messaging strategy and call sequence. The representative will leverage evidence-based business and value solutions, support the GI platform, and work with IDN hospital personnel regarding transition of care and discharge protocols.

Territory

Location

This territory includes the greater Boulder, Colorado and Wyoming areas, as well as Grand Junction, CO, North Denver, CO, Fort Collins, CO, Cheyenne, WY and Casper, WY.

Responsibilities
  • Focus on driving growth among GI/Critical Care target specialists and new accounts, meeting or exceeding sales and profit objectives in assigned accounts.
  • Educate targeted healthcare providers on the benefits of a novel GI therapy within the assigned territory.
  • Understand the GI healthcare environment and appropriately execute the selling process in a concise, compliant, professional, and persuasive manner that addresses a need and drives the customer to action.
  • Develop and communicate a deep scientific understanding of GI disorders, assigned products, and competitive offerings within the GI marketplace.
  • Maintain long‑term business relationships with key accounts and key opinion leaders within the GI community.
  • Develop and implement a territory‑specific business plan and utilize all available resources to foster a successful sales environment.
  • Convey complex clinical and reimbursement product information to key stakeholders in a highly competitive marketplace.
  • Execute a customer‑centric, needs‑based selling approach with targeted healthcare providers.
  • Use the sales reporting system regularly for call preparation, to record and track sales activity, and to gather market intelligence data.
  • Organize meetings and deliver content to health‑care professionals on GI and nutrition topics aligned with tangible account objectives and metrics.
  • Conduct promotional programs for professional and patient audiences.
  • Attend local, regional, and national meetings as directed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of medical/clinical selling experience with demonstrated success in specialty medical products, or a High School Diploma/GED coupled with 5+ years of combined experience in pharma or medical sales with clinical expertise (equivalent combination considered).
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Consistent ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Skill in developing solid, long‑standing business relationships with strategic and targeted customers.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
  • Requires 50% or more travel to develop internal and external relationships (geographical location dependent).
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Pay range: $120,000 to $135,000 (good faith estimate, final compensation may vary).
