Position: GM MASTER TECHNICIAN

You Became a Technician to Solve Problems.

Not Fight the Pay Plan. At Markley Buick GMC, we respect the craft, invest in our people, and believe elite technicians deserve elite support.

WORLD WE ENVISION

At Markley Buick GMC, we’re building a dealership where elite technicians can build an exceptional career without sacrificing their quality of life in the process.

Family-owned since 1936, we’ve spent nearly 90 years earning the trust of Northern Colorado by doing things differently. We care deeply about our people, our culture, and the impact we make every single day.

We believe the automotive industry can be better.

Better for technicians.

Better for families.

Better for customers.

We believe great technicians deserve respect.

Not burnout.

Not constant frustration over warranty times.

Not feeling punished for being the person everyone depends on.

THE MISSION & TEAM

Our mission is simple:

To make a profound positive impact on the lives of our clients, team members, and community by serving all with uncompromised integrity, empathy, and excellence.

That is not wall décor here.

It’s how we operate.

You’ll work alongside a team that believes in helping each other, solving problems together, and treating people with respect. We value accountability, ownership, growth, and teamwork.

We are looking for a GM Master Technician who takes pride in their craft and wants to work somewhere that appreciates the level of skill it takes to diagnose and repair today’s vehicles correctly.

HOW WE WORK

We don’t believe technicians should have to choose between making a great living and having a great life.

We believe experienced diagnostic technicians deserve support, modern equipment, leadership that listens, and teammates who pull their weight.

We work hard. We care deeply. And we treat people the right way.

THE CALL OUT

This role is not for someone looking to coast.

It’s for the technician who:

  • Is tired of carrying the hard diagnostics with little recognition
  • Is frustrated by warranty times that don’t reflect real-world repairs
  • Wants leadership that actually understands technician challenges
  • Takes pride in fixing vehicles the right way
  • Wants long-term opportunity, stability, and respect

If that sounds like you, you may have just found your next home.

THE ROLE GM MASTER TECHNICIAN Your Mission

Diagnose, repair, and lead with excellence while helping elevate the performance of the entire service team.

You’ll handle advanced drivability, electrical, and complex diagnostic work while working closely with advisors, technicians, and leadership to deliver an exceptional client experience.

Your experience matters here.

Your voice matters here.

And your contribution will absolutely be recognized here.

YOU’LL LOVE Solving Real Problems

You enjoy the challenge of diagnostics, electrical systems, and drivability concerns that require true skill and experience.

Being Respected for Your Expertise

We know great diagnostic technicians are rare. We value that skillset accordingly.

Having a Life Outside of Work

No Saturdays. Time with your family actually matters here.

Stability & Benefits

401(k) with employer match, insurance, paid vacation, and long-term career opportunity with a stable, family-owned organization.

Opportunity for Growth

We believe in promoting from within and creating long-term career paths for people who want to grow.

Working Somewhere That Feels Different

Our culture is team-oriented, supportive, and built around integrity and accountability — not drama and finger-pointing.

ABOUT YOU

You might be the right fit if you:

  • Are a GM Master Technician or equivalent high-level diagnostic technician
  • Have strong electrical and drivability diagnostic skills
  • Take pride in fixing vehicles correctly the first time
  • Work well independently while still being a team player
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully
  • Believe attitude matters just as much as ability
  • Want to grow with a dealership that values people long term

You probably won’t thrive here if:

  • You avoid accountability
  • You create negativity or drama
  • You cut corners
  • You need constant supervision
  • You only care about flagging hours and not helping the team succeed
WHAT WE OFFER
  • Competitive flat-rate compensation
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Insurance
  • No Saturdays
  • Factory training and support
  • Modern equipment and tools
  • Stable, family-owned leadership
  • Growth opportunity within the organization
