Job Description

This Facilities Management department at CSU is responsible for overseeing maintenance, repair, and improvement of all campus infrastructure. The position will provide maintenance and repair on campus plumbing systems, including water quality, building plumbing systems, pools, spas, water features, deionized and distilled water, cross‑connection, and inspections. All work must meet UPC/IPC codes and university standards.

Location:

Fort Collins, CO. Full‑time, non‑exempt, supervised by Ken Duke, PMT III Plumbing Shop Supervisor.

Essential

Job Duties
  • Install, repair, replace, and maintain potable and non‑potable plumbing systems, sewage and drain systems, natural gas piping, deionized water, swimming pools, distilled water, and associated components. Perform code compliance review and estimate labor and material costs.
  • Perform planned maintenance, repairs, and testing of utilities systems: water, gas, sewage distribution, storm drains, cathodic protection devices, backflow prevention, gas scoping, deionized and distilled acid neutralization systems.
  • Perform water quality testing and chemical adjustments on all pools; determine pool safety status and close facilities if necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

Colorado Licensed Master or Journeyman Level Plumber.

Preferred Qualifications
  • CPO Certification or ability to obtain within six months
  • Knowledge of plumbing systems
  • Ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of UPC and IPC
  • Knowledge of Safe Drinking Water Act
  • Directly related state service experience
Salary Range

$59,460 - $65,556
