The Electrical Assistant/Re-lamper will inspect, repair and maintain campus lighting systems. They will assist Journeyman electricians as needed for repairs on electrical lighting circuits, ballast replacement, lighting control devices, wire pulls. They will assist with preventative maintenance on campus emergency power systems.

• Inspects repairs and maintains the campus exterior and interior lighting systems and makes recommendations for energy savings through retrofits to LED’s.
• Troubleshoots and resolves problems in electrical systems and equipment with the guidance of a journeyman electrician.
• Prioritize daily work orders for repairs acknowledging urgent requests and moving them up in priority.
• Assists Journeyman electricians as needed for repairs on electrical lighting circuits, ballast replacement, lighting control devices and wire pulls.
• Assists EPS (Emergency Power Source) technicians with preventative maintenance on campus emergency power systems.

To be considered for this position, candidates must demonstrate in the application materials:

• Two (2) years of work experience in customer service setting

• A combination of related education, satisfactory completion formalized electrician apprenticeship program, and/or relevant experience in an customer service setting equal to two (2) years
