Journeyman Plumber

Meyer Mechanical is seeking a reliable Journeyman Plumber to support residential and light commercial projects across the Kansas City metro. In this field role, you will install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, water heaters, and piping while following local codes and safety standards. You'll diagnose issues, recommend solutions, and communicate clearly with customers. Working within a team-focused, service-oriented culture, you'll collaborate with HVAC technicians, receive ongoing training, and have opportunities to advance into senior or lead roles as you grow your skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial plumbing systems
• Diagnose plumbing issues and perform effective repairs or replacements
• Install and service water heaters, fixtures, and piping to code
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders
• Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes and safety regulations
• Use appropriate tools and materials for pipe fitting, soldering, and finishing
• Communicate clearly with customers about findings, options, and pricing
• Document work performed and maintain accurate service records
• Collaborate with HVAC technicians and other team members on jobs
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and jobsite cleanliness and safety
