SAFY is seeking a PRN Home Study Specialist for SAFY of Colorado
. As a PRN Home Study Specialist
, you will be responsible for the licensing of treatment, therapeutic, and traditional foster parents as well as adoptive parents, where applicable, as defined by annual goals. This role will serve Colorado Springs/ El Paso County primarily. Applicants may be in Douglas or Elbert County regions.

WhatYou’ll Do
- Complete the full SAFE Training provided by the State of Colorado
- Perform home study of prospective treatment parent(s) and their home environment according to SAFY policy and specific requirements of the state.
- Determine appropriateness of prospective foster parents and the best placement type.
- Effectively engage all members of a potential foster family.
- Address sensitive and/or personal topics with prospective foster parents.
- Complete all documentation using a computerized clinical record and maintain central file which will consist of required paperwork such as payment, case notes, legal documents, and releases of information.
- Inform clients of company policies, procedures, rights, and responsibilities. Enforce policies by writing corrective action plans, incident reports, and conducting rules investigations.

Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in the field of social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy or other approved related field of human services.
- Three years of relevant experience preferred in the field of mental health/therapeutic intervention with children, adolescents, and families. Experience with family preservation services and best practice In-Home models is preferred.
- Employee will be paid a total of $850.00 per assessment.
- $400.00
- Completion of half of the total interviews needed.
- All areas of mitigation have action steps discussed with supervisor on how these areas will be mitigated (includes interviews needed, police reports needed, any documentation to show mitigation.)
- First desk guide ratings reviewed with supervisor.
- $450.00
- Completion of documentation, signatures and assessment has been submitted to the State of Colorado.
- Employee will be paid a one-time training payment of $200 for 1 day of onboarding training
- Employee will be paid “$25.00” for training and supervision.
- Employee will be eligible to contribute to and is eligible to receive company match under 401(k) retirement program.
- Employee is eligible for mileage reimbursement.
