** Description
- ** HP is looking for a talented and motivated engineer to join our Workstations R&D team. We are seeking an engineer with a strong passion for low‐level development and hands‐on hardware experience.
** Responsibilities
* ** You will work at the intersection of hardware and software, helping to design, develop, and deliver cutting‐edge workstation solutions used by some of the world’s most demanding customers.
* As an engineer on the HP Z Workstations team, you will design, develop, debug, and maintain UEFI system firmware (BIOS) to deliver innovative solutions to customers.
* You will work in a fast‐paced, collaborative environment with early access to unreleased hardware and software, gaining broad technical experience while solving complex customer problems.
** Desired Experience and Knowledge
*** The ideal candidate has excellent troubleshooting skills, a drive to identify root cause, and the ability to work effectively across teams.
* You should be innovative, self‐motivated, quality‐focused, and possess strong communication and technical skills.
* Professional experience in firmware development
* Strong C programming skills.
* Experience with UEFI/BIOS, microcontrollers, embedded systems or other low-level code.
* Experience with debuggers, protocol analyzers, and software development tools.
* Knowledge of hardware-software integration and low-level system design.
** Education
* ** Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar

The pay range for this role is  **$93,400
** to **$143,800
** USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
