The Navajo Tribal Utility Authority Scholarship Program is now accepting scholarship applications for the Academic Year Fall Semester 2026 - Spring Semester 2027. It is the policy of NTUA to encourage Navajos to pursue studies that lead to either a bachelor's or master's degree in fields relating to the multi-service utility industry.
NTUA Scholarship
Award: $2,000.00 for one year, (divided into $1,000.00 increments for the Fall and Spring semesters). The scholarship may be used for either an Undergraduate or a Graduate degree program.
NTUA Scholarship - Renewal
Apply for a renewal award if you received the award in 2025 and would like to apply again for the Fall 2026 - Spring 2027 academic year.
NTUA Enhanced Scholarship with Internship
Award amount: $2,500.00 for one year, (divided into $1,250.00 increments for each semester (Fall and Spring) in which student meets eligibility requirements), and a paid internship with NTUA in Summer 2026. The Enhanced Scholarship may be used for either an Undergraduate or a Graduate degree program.

NTUA Scholarship
Award: $2,000.00 for one year, (divided into $1,000.00 increments for the Fall and Spring semesters). This is the standard scholarship application process. The scholarship may be used for either an Undergraduate or a Graduate degree program. It is also required of you to notify NTUA of any changes in the information provided on your application.
Eligibility criteria:
- High School Graduate or expects to graduate high school by the date of enrollment at college or university; or
- High-school equivalent certificate holder or expects to receive a high-school equivalent certificate by the date of enrollment at college or university; or
- Currently attending college or university with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.00 or above for Undergraduate work, or a 3.00 or above for Graduate work.
- Twelve (12) or more Credit Hours per semester for Undergraduate degree programs; or
- Nine (9) or more Credit Hours per semester for Graduate degree programs; or
- Other amount of credit hours determined by student's college or university as Full-Time status.

Students must provide the following documents by the stated deadline.

Applicants must submit official/original documents for each element of the Application Packet listed below:
- Online Scholarship Application
- Letter of Interest (typed standard business letter stating your interest in the scholarship and a description of "
How your degree aligns with NTUAs multi-service utility industry.") (Upload with online application) - Letter of Acceptance or Admission to College or University dated less than two years or a current Enrollment Verification (Upload with online application)
- Navajo Chapter Affiliation: copy of your Navajo Nation Voter Registration Card (Upload with online application)
- Official sealed High School or College or University Transcripts (electronic transcript will be accepted directly from college or university (i.e. National Student Clearing House)(Email to: )
- Official Navajo Certificate of Indian Blood (green, embossed certificate) (copies not accepted)
Incomplete Application Packets will not be considered for the scholarship award. No fax or email of official documents will be considered. Only transcripts may be emailed directly from the institution.
