Labor And Delivery Registered Nurse
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specialized in Labor and Delivery to provide comprehensive care for mothers and newborns. The role involves managing a variety of deliveries, postpartum care, and neonatal support, with opportunities to serve as charge nurse.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care during labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal phases.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor patient vital signs, fetal heart rates, and progress to ensure safety and effective labor management.
- Cover as charge nurse when required, demonstrating leadership and clinical decision-making skills.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, assessments, and interventions.
- Float to other departments as needed, supporting team workload and patient needs.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a minimum of five years recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn nursing.
- Hold current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and AWHONN Advanced FHM certifications.
- May be eligible to substitute RNC-EFM for AWHONN FHM.
- Demonstrate flexibility to work 12-hour day shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Possess strong clinical assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
