Overview
Registered Nurse – Clinic, Fort Defiance, Arizona. This travel assignment starts on 08/24/2026 and runs for 13 weeks. Expect a weekly pay of $2,368–$2,419 per week, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week, and a 5x8 day shift (Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. with a 1-hour lunch; no weekends or holidays) in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting. The role focuses on diabetes clinic and primary care clinic services, providing patient care in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

- Provide registered nurse care within the Diabetes Clinic and Primary Care Clinic, including consultation, assessment, and evaluation of diabetes-related services for individuals, families, and communities
- Deliver diabetes self-management education, collaborate with the care team, and coordinate follow-up plans and referrals
- Perform triage and risk assessment using established protocols, with emphasis on Emergency Severity Index (ESI) knowledge
- Document care in the electronic health record and communicate care plans across the team; ensure patient safety and adherence to clinical guidelines
- Educate patients on diabetes management, lifestyle modifications, medication adherence, and preventive care; support care transitions and care coordination
- Active Registered Nurse license; BLS and ACLS certified; current Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) certification obtained within the last 3 years prior to start date
- Clinic experience mandatory, with preference for Diabetes Clinic and Primary Care Clinic exposure
- Minimum of 3 years of recent RN experience in the applicable specialty
- Ability to work in a clinic setting; strong critical thinking and triage skills
- Knowledge of ESI triage and the ability to apply it in clinical scenarios
- Orientation:
Every other Monday during onboarding
- Housing assistance available (shared housing, based on availability; no family or pets)
- Orientation support:
Every other Monday onboarding sessions
