To provide a well-organized, smoothly functioning class environment in which students can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials.
Compensation- $15.07/hr (+$0.40 extra for 60+ college credits and $0.30 for Para Certification/Sub Authorization)
- All positions assigned 30 or more hours weekly (typically 6 hours daily) are eligible for a full benefits package, including medical, dental and vision insurance and paid leave.
- Monitor a classroom activity directed by the virtual teacher.
- Keep students on track as they carry out an assignment.
- Guide students toward better study habits.
- Refer problems observed (academic or behavioral) to the teacher.
- Work with individuals or small groups to help them function more effectively (socially) in the classroom.
- Assist students in learning to use equipment and materials.
- Help prepare materials for students.
- Carry out supervisory duties outside the classroom as approved by the building principal (e.g., field trips, library, auditorium).
- Assist students who have been absent.
- Enforce classroom management according to the teacher's guidelines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or GED
