Senior Process Optimization Specialist

POSITION OVERVIEW
- Collect, analyze, and interpret complex operational data to drive process improvements.
- Partner with maintenance leadership on predictive and reliability-based maintenance planning.
- Collaborate with finance and technology teams to monitor/manage fixed and variable costs.
- Plan and oversee production shutdowns and ensure regulatory and preventive maintenance compliance.
- Support capital project engineers in evaluating expenditures and promoting cost-effective, reliable solutions.
- Provide oversight to third-party contractors—ensuring safety, priorities, and skill development.
- Benchmark best practices and contribute to long-term strategy across departments.
- Work independently on complex issues, escalating only the most advanced challenges.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field) or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of relevant process/operations engineering experience.
- Strong engineering subject matter knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Lean Certification / Six Sigma Green Belt.
- Strong project management and continuous improvement background.
- Data analysis skills; proficiency in PI (data historian), MS Project, Seeq, or Minitab.
- Knowledge of wet/dry corn milling, ethanol production, or corn sweetener production.
