Game Operations Staff

Iowa Central Community College is seeking reliable and detail-oriented individuals to support home athletic events through game operations. Game Operations Staff ensure that contests run smoothly by managing official game functions and providing a positive atmosphere for student-athletes, officials, and fans.

Responsibilities:

• Announcers:
  Provide in-game announcements, introductions, and updates in a professional and enthusiastic manner.
• Game Clock/Play Clock/Shot Clock Operators:
  Accurately manage time and possession according to game rules and official instructions.
• Scoreboard Operators:
  Update scores and game information quickly and accurately.
• Spotter:
  Assist announcers by identifying players and plays.
• Libero Tracker & Scorebook Keepers:
  Maintain accurate volleyball and other game records according to sport regulations.
• Collaborate with athletic staff, officials, and other game personnel.
• Represent Iowa Central in a professional and positive manner.

• Dependable, punctual, and attentive throughout events.
• Ability to follow directions and understand game rules (training provided).
• Strong communication skills; ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience helpful but not required.

Work Schedule & Pay:
Hours vary based on the home athletic schedule.

Part-time employees who meet IPERS eligibility requirements will be offered this benefit.
