The Warehouse Mechanic is responsible for repair and maintenance of tools, equipment and vehicles.
Responsibilities- Analyze malfunctions and repair, rebuild, and maintain construction tools, equipment and vehicles
- Analyze and recommend cost effectiveness of internal repair vs external or to sell or retire tools, equipment or vehicles
- Perform routine maintenance, regularly inspecting and adjusting tools and equipment
- Operate and inspect tools or equipment to diagnose defects
- Examine parts for damage or excessive wear
- Perform work of a quality level and in a productive manner consistent with the company's standards
- Travel to jobsites as needed for diagnosis, repair or maintenance
- Complete service requests and work orders
- Document in Tool Watch for accurate tracking of tool and equipment maintenance
- Maintain safe and clean shop environment
- Assist Warehouse Supervisor or Coordinator with other warehouse tasks as assigned
- Perform duties in a safe manner
- High School diploma or GED required
- 1-3 years' related experience and/or training preferred
- Ability to do tool and equipment repair
- Good driving record and valid driver's license
- Must be reliable and a hard worker
- Able to work well in a team environment
