Breadbasket Manager

Starting at $22 per hour.

The Breadbasket Manager supports all aspects of our restaurant‑style dining experience called the “Bread Basket.” This includes ordering, meal preparation, presentation, and the meal service experience.

• Full‑time employees are eligible for all benefits (medical, dental, vision, and voluntary products).
• Part‑time employees (29 or fewer hours per week) are eligible for Voluntary Life and Voluntary Short‑Term Disability.
• Benefits start the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment.

• Pay available daily.

• Occasional mandatory travel required for training and development purposes.
• Order food following Bickford’s process in a timely, cost‑effective manner.
• Ensure appropriate information is available to produce meals (e.g., production sheets, recipes, prep/pull sheets, week’s extension menus, week‑at‑a‑glance menus).
• Prepare meals following Bickford’s menus, processes, and expectations.
• Serve food timely, at correct temperatures, and appropriately plated.
• Ensure Bickford’s process is followed during meal service.
• Interact with residents in the Dining Room during meals to enhance their dining experience.
• Follow the Kitchen Daily Task Guide.
• Use residents’ Meal Order Information form to track all physician‑ordered diets, allergies, and preferences.
• Maintain food service records in accordance with regulatory requirements and Bickford’s policies.
• Store food in accordance with regulatory requirements and Bickford’s policies.
• Complete the Kitchen Rotational Cleaning Schedule.
• Ensure the kitchen and dining room meet regulatory requirements and Bickford’s expectations for cleanliness.
• Coordinate with marketing and life enrichment leaders to ensure appropriate food/refreshments are provided for tours and events.

• High School Diploma or GED; one year of related experience.
• Willing to take additional training or education as required by specific states.
• Serv Safe, CPR, and First Aid certifications required.
• A valid driver’s license and a driving record consistent with Bickford’s insurance carrier guidelines.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Competent in organizational and time‑management skills; demonstrates good judgment, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
