Breadbasket Manager
Starting at $22 per hour.
JOB OVERVIEWThe Breadbasket Manager supports all aspects of our restaurant‑style dining experience called the “Bread Basket.” This includes ordering, meal preparation, presentation, and the meal service experience.

- Part‑time employees (29 or fewer hours per week) are eligible for Voluntary Life and Voluntary Short‑Term Disability.
- Benefits start the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment.

- Pay available daily.
- Occasional mandatory travel required for training and development purposes.
- Order food following Bickford’s process in a timely, cost‑effective manner.
- Ensure appropriate information is available to produce meals (e.g., production sheets, recipes, prep/pull sheets, week’s extension menus, week‑at‑a‑glance menus).
- Prepare meals following Bickford’s menus, processes, and expectations.
- Serve food timely, at correct temperatures, and appropriately plated.
- Ensure Bickford’s process is followed during meal service.
- Interact with residents in the Dining Room during meals to enhance their dining experience.
- Follow the Kitchen Daily Task Guide.
- Use residents’ Meal Order Information form to track all physician‑ordered diets, allergies, and preferences.
- Maintain food service records in accordance with regulatory requirements and Bickford’s policies.
- Store food in accordance with regulatory requirements and Bickford’s policies.
- Complete the Kitchen Rotational Cleaning Schedule.
- Ensure the kitchen and dining room meet regulatory requirements and Bickford’s expectations for cleanliness.
- Coordinate with marketing and life enrichment leaders to ensure appropriate food/refreshments are provided for tours and events.
- High School Diploma or GED; one year of related experience.
- Willing to take additional training or education as required by specific states.
- Serv Safe, CPR, and First Aid certifications required.
- A valid driver’s license and a driving record consistent with Bickford’s insurance carrier guidelines.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Competent in organizational and time‑management skills; demonstrates good judgment, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
