Seasonal Snow Plow Operator

The City of Fort Dodge is creating a list of seasonal snowplow operators to assist with snowfall operations based on needs and conditions. Individuals must be able to respond in a timely manner to snow events and assist in completing effective and safe snow removal throughout Fort Dodge. Pre-employment, post-offer background check, physical, drug screen and physical capacity evaluation required.

One (1) year of related experience, snow removal experience preferred; valid Iowa Commercial Driver’s License, Class B with air brake endorsement required; good driving record; ability to lift and carry heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds on occasion; and the ability to operate equipment such as end loaders, dump trucks, snowplows with salt spreaders, and snowplows.
