PCSI is looking for a General Maintenance Worker for the Structures Department at our Total Facility Maintenance contract in Ft. Knox, Kentucky.

Position SummaryAs a General Maintenance Worker (GMW), you will perform minor adjustments and repairs to plumbing, electrical, waste systems, architectural and structural building components, doors, windows, floor systems, light carpentry, roof systems, and related tasks. You will also conduct preventative maintenance, such as changing filters, cleaning cooling towers and heating/coiling coils, replacing light bulbs, and ensuring all paperwork is completed.
Responsibilities- Minor adjustments and repairs to plumbing, electrical, waste systems, architectural and structural building components, doors, windows, floor systems, light carpentry, and roof systems.
- Cleaning and maintaining mechanical rooms.
- Preventative maintenance functions and minor repairs, including changing filters, cleaning cooling towers, heating and cooling coils, and changing fluorescent and other light bulbs.
- Manufacturing, repairing, and installing screens and glass.
- Sign maintenance, including inspections, replacement, and painting.
- Ensuring all paperwork is completed.
- Replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors.
- Using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings.
- Repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets.
- Painting structures and equipment.
- Repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks.
- Replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles.
- Hanging doors and installing door locks.
- Replacing broken windowpanes.
- Snow and ice removal operations.
- Assessing and making minor repairs to shingle, TPO, rock & seam, and conventional rib metal roofing, including diagnostics of leaking points, tarping, downspout repair, and replacement.
- Repairing or replacing drop and drywall ceiling tiles, installing insulation/sound‑proofing, and finishing drywall ceilings.
- Cleaning, preparing, and installing new or existing wood panels, walls, and floors, including sanding and finishing.
- Painting walls, doors, windows, floor surfaces, bricks, cinder blocks, steps, and equipment.
- Installing new and replacing screens, glass, sashes, mullions, seals, gaskets, and other window & glass components.
- Installing and adjusting hinges, closers, seals, latches, thresholds, and door frames, including welded and knock‑down frames.
- Replacing or installing floor tiles, carpeting, and taking care of epoxy and other floor coatings.
- Framing, demolition, and installation of walls and openings, insulation, and window/wall openings.
- Minor masonry repairs to concrete, block, precast, bricks, and expansion joint sealant.
- Installing and finishing drywall with taping, joint treatment, and bead application.
- Providing basic knowledge and support for wood furnishings, cabinets, countertops, vanities, back splashes, and moving equipment.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
- Base pay of $22.91 per hour.

- At least six (6) months of relevant experience.
Skills and Abilities
- Required to stand, walk, climb ladders, kneel, squat, bend, and reach regularly.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. up to 10 times per day.
- Ability to perform a variety of maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of all maintenance trades in a maintenance environment (prior government contractor experience preferred).
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools for installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Must successfully complete all applicable training modules assigned.
- Must effectively read, write, and speak the English language.
- Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening.
- Ability to work outside in inclement weather, exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors.
- Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
- If required, ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).
