Winn Companies is looking for a Warehouse Specialist II to join our military housing team at Fort Knox, KY
.
In this role, you will maintain the warehouse by purchasing equipment, supplies, and tools. You will also utilize the system reorder function, maintain the warehouse, and issue items to technicians.
Responsibilities- Purchase equipment materials, supplies, and tools using electronic purchasing system to generate purchase orders and place orders directly with vendors and suppliers.
- Utilize system reorder function to properly order quantities of products needed. Utilize Yardi management system to manage, issue, and order all inventory and equipment as per guidelines.
- Ensure that warehouse(s) are properly stocked and inventory levels are maintained in accordance with the current maintenance activities of the project. Ensure that company policies are followed for purchasing, receiving and stocking materials.
- May be responsible for special order purchases.
- Support providing supplies to technicians and employees for maintenance activities by issuing equipment materials, supplies and tools physically and electronically.
- Maintain the warehouse by physically and electronically stocking materials, supplies, and tools efficiently.
- Ensure safe, clean, and tidy warehouse and maintenance facilities and comply with proper safety and environmental policies for storage and recording and reporting requirements (including Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all materials).
- Maintain tool and equipment logs for all Project owned tools. Ensure all are maintained in working order. Inform Maintenance Manager of Director of Maintenance of tool and equipment requirements.
- Support regular warehouse and vehicle inventories in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain refuse and recycling collections for maintenance operations.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Less than 1 year of relevant experience.
- A current driver's license in good standing and ability to meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.
- Knowledge of basic maintenance skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to utilize a mobile device effectively.
- Ability to speak and understand basic English.
- Real driver's license/ to access the federal facility.
- Vocational or technical training.
- Direct experience in purchasing and warehouse management.
