The staff accountant performs daily responsibilities of Corporate Accounting related to review, analysis, reconciliation and maintenance of balance sheet and corporate overhead accounts on a monthly basis.

The staff accountant will report directly to the Corporate Accounting Manager and interact with corporate and regional personnel regarding general ledger responsibilities.

This position follows a hybrid schedule with onsite work at our Corporate Office in Fort Lauderdale.

• Review Treasury activity and post banking transactions, accruals and debt entries.
• Prepare journal entries based on information gathered from different financial systems and corporate departments.
• Account for T&E transactions on a daily basis.
• Record various journal entries submitted by corporate and regional departments for intercompany and month‑end close.
• A/R and Billing for new lines of business.
• Prepare, distribute and answer questions on corporate, regional and store statements.
• Perform monthly SG&A variance analysis against budget for various corporate departments.
• Perform monthly review, maintenance, and reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare quarterly work‑papers and reconciliations for external auditors.
• Maintain proper documentation for processes pertaining to position.
• Assist in the planning, execution and reporting of special projects undertaken by the Corporate Accounting department.
• Assist other teams within the Controller’s group during quarter‑end and year‑end reporting.

• Four (4) year degree in Accounting
• Strong technical accounting skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong MS Excel skills
