Reporting to the Accounts Receivable & Cash Manager, the Staff Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the close process, and assisting with audit and reporting requirements. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations with a focus on cash application, bank reconciliation, and general ledger activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor company bank accounts to ensure deposits are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile payment activity against bank statements and research and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain organized electronic documentation related to cash applications for audit and reference purposes.
  • Prepare and post journal entries related to office deposits, rental income, and commissions.
  • Assist with maintaining rental income schedules and supporting revenue tracking.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Investigate and dispute reimbursement requests related to e-commerce transactions when necessary.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to cash application and reconciliation processes.
  • Assist with external financial statement and tax audits by preparing supporting documentation.
  • Perform ad hoc reporting, analysis, and special projects as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and company information.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Approximately 3+ years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Solid understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, leadership, and external partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Great Plains or Net Suite is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and ability to prioritize responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines.
  • Professional discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
