Senior Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join our brand-new South Florida locations. As we scale our accounting team you will play a foundational role in streamlining our financial operations. Are you a seasoned AP professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment? This role is at a premier national construction leader valued at over $800 million with 50 locations nationwide undergoing an exciting period of growth and integration.

salary: $25 - $28 per hour

• Manage and process an exceptionally high volume of Accounts Payable, estimated at 3,500 to 4,000 invoices per month.
• Execute full‑cycle Accounts Payable functions, including GL and cost center coding, as well as managing complex payment runs (ACH, wire, and check).
• Perform accurate and timely 3‑way matching (PO, Invoice, BOL/Receipt).
• Manage vendor setup, vendor reconciliations, and correspondence, proactively resolving vendor account discrepancies.
• Process payments and maintain compliance, including assisting with the 1099 process and preparing Releases of Lien where necessary.
• Maintain daily communication and collaboration with vendors, business stakeholders, and an internal accounting department of 15–20 members.
• Provide support during month, quarter, and year‑end close and audit processes.
