Position Overview:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist is a trusted financial role responsible for safeguarding company assets through accurate reporting, disciplined documentation, and adherence to internal controls. This position manages customer accounts, supports month-end close, and ensures the integrity of receivables data across the South Florida region. The ideal candidate brings strong ethics, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy in all financial processes.
- Reconcile accounts weekly and monthly to ensure accurate reporting and proper ledger maintenance.
- Maintain accounts receivable records and ensure the aging report is current; record daily collections accurately and promptly.
- Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly financial reports.
- Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with internal controls and established accounting procedures.
- Review customer credit limits and recommend adjustments based on purchasing and payment history.
- Research discrepancies, aged items, and account variances; elevate irregularities or unusual activity to the Regional Controller.
- Assist with the month‑end closing process and support audit readiness through complete, accurate documentation.
- Resolve outstanding issues with internal and external customers in a professional and timely manner.
- Uphold company policies that protect financial data, ensure accuracy, and maintain strong internal controls.
- Support team members as needed and perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/
Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field preferred; an equivalent combination of relevant experience (typically 4–6 years in accounts receivable or accounting roles) may be considered in place of a degree.
- Experience in accounting or accounts receivable.
- Demonstrated integrity, ethical judgment, and commitment to internal controls.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work effectively.
- High attention to detail and accuracy; capable of working independently.
- Familiarity with GAAP and standard accounting practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
