Accounts Payable Clerk
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Clerk to join a growing finance team in a fast-paced, multi-system environment. This role is responsible for supporting the full accounts payable cycle while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and capable of managing a high volume of transactions with minimal supervision.
Salary Range: $41,000-$50,000 (Depending On Experience)
Location: Fort Lauderdale (Cypress Creek)
Key Responsibilities- Manage the full accounts payable process, including invoice receipt, coding, approval routing, posting, and payment processing
- Perform purchase order matching and verify invoice accuracy prior to processing
- Process cost invoices and maintain accurate vendor and payment records across multiple systems
- Prepare and distribute vendor payments, including check printing, ACH payments, and remittance notifications
- Collect and maintain supplier ACH banking information and assist with verbal banking verifications to ensure payment security
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Provide backup support for other Accounts Payable team members as needed
- Assist with preparing documentation related to sales and use tax refund claims and state authority requests
- Support month‑closing activities and maintain organized financial records and documentation
- Previous accounts payable experience required
- Strong accuracy and efficiency in high‑volume data entry environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both internal teams and external vendors
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, preferred
- Experience working with ERP systems and multi‑system accounting environments
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
