THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support the day-to-day financial operations of FTL UTD Holdings. This role will work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, and support the continued growth of a multi-entity sports platform.

You will play a key role in core accounting functions, assist with close processes, and contribute to building scalable financial infrastructure across the organization.

  • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations in a timely manner
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain schedules for prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and accrued liabilities
Accounts Payable & Receivable Support
  • Process vendor invoices, expense reports, and check requests for payment
  • Assist with billing, collections follow-up, and cash receipts posting
  • Monitor aging reports and escalated outstanding items as needed
Financial Reporting
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Generate reports and analysis to support management decision-making
  • Support the preparation of audit schedules and respond to auditor inquiries
Compliance & Controls
  • Ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP and company policies
  • Identify and communicate internal control weaknesses to management
  • Support tax filings including sales tax, 1099 preparation, and property tax returns
Other Duties
  • Assist with special projects, process improvements, and system implementations
  • Cross-train with other accounting team members to provide backup coverage
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as requested by management
QUALIFICATIONS Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field
  • 1–3 years of accounting experience (internships considered for entry-level roles)
  • Solid understanding of GAAP principles and the accounting cycle
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas)
  • Experience with accounting software (Quick Books, Net Suite, Sage, or similar)
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
  • CPA candidate or active pursuit of CPA licensure
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, or payroll processes
  • Sports or entertainment industry experience preferred
