Staff Accountant

A great client at UHY is seeking a Staff Accountant
.

The Staff Accountant role is a hybrid position, with 3 days each week being onsite.

• Review accounts receivable, accounts payable, and trial balance activity for variances during month-end close
• Prepare and submit journal entries for review and approval
• Review journal entries and supporting documentation for accuracy
• Generate and reconcile intercompany balances across multiple business units
• Support month-end close activities and financial reporting processes
• Assist with SOX compliance, internal audits, and external audits
• Manage assigned projects and ensure timely completion
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and business partners
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; equivalent experience considered
• 2+ years of accounting, finance, or billing experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Outlook
• Understanding of accounting principles and financial terminology
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a compliance-focused environment
• Experience reviewing contracts or financial agreements is a plus
