Senior Finance & Accounting Manager | Clear Path to Controller | HYBRID

Steven Douglas is conducting a search for a Senior Finance & Accounting Manager on behalf of a stable, growing organization generating $150M+ in annual revenue. Reporting to a Senior Director that our firm placed, this is a versatile, hands-on GAAP accounting role for someone who can step into any area of the accounting/finance function and operate at a senior level with minimal direction — moving fluidly across monthly reporting, balance sheet integrity, and process improvement, while also serving as a key backup across critical finance functions.

• Built-in growth path to Controller — the current Controller is planning to retire and this role is being groomed to step into that seat once ramped up
• Recently completed a Net Suite conversion and cleaned up reporting; close now runs just under a week with a much more efficient accounting team
• Serves as a key backup to the Controller, building broad exposure across the finance function well beyond a typical GL role
• Steven Douglas has an established track record with this client, including placing the current hiring manager, and other members of the organization who love working there!

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA highly preferred
• 7-10 years of relevant accounting/finance experience, including prior experience managing a team
• Comfortable wearing multiple hats across monthly close, reconciliations, and reporting — not a siloed GL role
• Net Suite or comparable large ERP experience required
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas required
• Public accounting plus industry experience is ideal; multinational exposure a plus
