Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support daily finance activities for a higher education organization in Florida. This is a contract position that requires someone who is detail oriented and can manage invoice workflows, maintain accurate financial records, and contribute to smooth accounting operations. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge and can work effectively in an on-site environment while handling multiple administrative finance tasks.

Responsibilities:

- Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring proper coding and complete supporting documentation.

- Manage accounts payable transactions from receipt through payment, including preparing and assisting with scheduled check runs.

- Reconcile financial records and review account activity to help maintain accurate and up-to-date reporting.

- Maintain organized finance documentation and records to support routine accounting administration and audit readiness.

- Use Blackbaud Financial Edge to enter, track, and update payable and other finance-related information.

- Coordinate with internal staff and external vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies, payment questions, and documentation issues.

- Assist with day-to-day financial administration and provide additional accounting support as assigned by finance leadership. Requirements - Demonstrated experience in accounts payable and general financial administration.

- Hands-on proficiency with Blackbaud Financial Edge or closely related Blackbaud accounting tools.

- Ability to code invoices accurately and process payments with strong attention to detail.

- Experience supporting check runs, invoice entry, and accounts payable record maintenance.

- Comfortable working on-site in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, on a Monday through Friday schedule.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

- Clear written and verbal communication skills for working with vendors and internal teams.
