Project Accountant – Construction Firm
$80K-$100K Base +Bonus | Fort Lauderdale, FL | In Office
A growing national construction firm is seeking a Project Accountant to support construction operations, project accounting, subcontractor billing, payment processing, job cost reporting, and financial documentation.
This is a strong opportunity for someone with accounting experience in AP, invoicing, project accounting, and job costing who wants to join a fast-growing South Florida construction business.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage monthly subcontractor billing through Textura, including compliance tracking and payment authorization
- Process and post billings, payments, and project invoices into the company's ERP system
- Perform monthly reconciliations between Textura and the ERP system to ensure accuracy
- Support job cost reporting, project financial documentation, and financial record maintenance
- Communicate with subcontractors and vendors regarding invoice and payment status
- Assist with project financial audits before, during, and after project completion
- Partner closely with Project Managers and internal accounting teams on construction project accounting needs
- 4+ years of accounting experience with a focus on invoicing, accounts payable, project accounting, or job costing
- Construction accounting experience strongly preferred
- Experience with subcontractor billing/payments, project invoicing, reconciliations, and job cost reporting
- Understanding of Florida lien laws and lien waivers is important
- Textura, Vista, and Procore experience highly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Strong Excel, organization, communication, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
