Supervisor Administrative

Position Summary:
The Supervisor Administrative Airports provides administrative support and guidance to the leadership team and crew members and ensures Jet Blue policies and procedures adhere to administrative and accounting guidelines.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Oversee the scheduling team, including call outs, Paid Time Off (PTO), Roster Apps updates, vacation, holiday and shift bids
- Establish and maintain departmental records including crew member files, weekly attendance statistics and payroll administration for the department
- Support development of crew member guidelines and processes
- Focus on teambuilding and communication between your department and all other departments
- Help coordinate and monitor administrative support to ensure training and operational schedules are documented accurately
- Communicate with the leadership team in order to provide optimal administrative support and crew member satisfaction
- Prepare reports for the leadership team on any payroll, hours worked, paid time off, overtime, attendance and work performance anomalies
- Serve as point of contact for coordinating schedules, meetings and conferences, and arranging travel as required
- Assist with crew member relocations and assignments related to promotions or changes in station requirements
- Administer progressive guidance to crew members as needed
- Oversee Leave of Absence and FMLA, working closely with the People and Benefits Team
- Is accountable to senior management for ensuring the safety and security of ground handling operations
- Ensure that policies and procedures are conducted in accordance with applicable federal regulations and standards
- Take a significant role in the development of crew members to support engagement, growth, and goal achievement by establishing clear performance expectations and accountability for crew members
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum
Experience and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
- Three (3) years of related experience
- One (1) year of supervisory experience and/or leadership experience
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to work variable hours, flexible shifts, including holidays and weekends
- Able to effectively manage sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner
- Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize projects
- Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
- Depending on location, may need to acquire and maintain a United States Customs Clearance
- Available for overnight travel (10%)
- Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred
Experience and Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and SharePoint services
- Ability to work under pressure in a team environment
- Highly organized and focused
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong analytical abilities
- Ability to apply critical thinking to the decision-making process
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- Remain composed in a demanding, fast-paced work environment and take control in unexpected situations
Crew member Expectations:
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short notice
- Able to maintain a professional appearance
- When working or traveling on Jet Blue flights, and if time permits, all capable crew members are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
- Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the Jet Blue culture, that is, exhibit the Jet Blue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun
- Promote Jet Blue's #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting Jet Blue's Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards
- Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including Jet Blue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))
- Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
- Uphold Jet Blue's safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities
