Currently, they are looking to add a Manager of Legal Learning & Development to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate$120k - $150k
Position OverviewThe Manager of Legal Learning & Development will drive firm-wide proficiency in critical software tools and technology systems. This role focuses on onboarding new hires, ongoing training, and coaching legal and professional staff to ensure the effective use of firm technologies such as Microsoft 365, iManage, Chrome River, and other practice‑specific applications. The position plays a key role in promoting digital fluency and supporting the smooth adoption of new tools across all offices.
Responsibilities- Lead onboarding and ongoing software training for attorneys and staff across the firm.
- Develop, update, and maintain a comprehensive technology training curriculum.
- Deliver training through a mix of instructor‑led sessions, virtual classes, one‑on‑one coaching, and self‑paced resources.
- Collaborate with IT and Administrative teams to support technology rollouts, process improvements, and adoption initiatives.
- Track and report on training effectiveness, making recommendations for improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, training completion, and user progress.
- Provide hands‑on support for technology‑related questions and challenges.
- Travel occasionally to other office locations as needed for training sessions.
- 3-5 years of experience delivering software or technology training within a law firm environment.
- Proficiency in legal technology platforms such as iManage, Chrome River, document management, docketing, and e‑signature systems.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Strong instructional design, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work independently.
- Proven experience in onboarding, change management, or user adoption programs.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Litmos.
- Experience creating training guides, video tutorials, and other digital learning materials.
- Ability to customize training content for different user roles and practice groups.
- Previous experience supporting firm‑wide technology initiatives or rollouts.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
