Client Relationship Management, Business Development
You've been in the room with a family, knowing the right answer was no—and saying it meant giving up a number, a manager's nod, or a paycheck. In this role, that answer is the work.
Alpha is a private K–12 school network where students complete academics in roughly two hours each day, then spend the remainder building practical skills. The test scores validate the approach. This is an on-site position at a single campus, in person, every day, in one of 12 markets:
Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, La Jolla, or Malibu, CA;
Austin, TX;
Atlanta, GA;
Boca Raton, FL;
Boston, MA;
Chicago, IL;
Greenwich, CT;
Nashville, TN; or Park City, UT. Select your market when you apply.
Families pay a premium, research thoroughly, and will ask pointed questions about rigor and expectations within the first ten minutes. The model functions only when the families within it genuinely seek what it offers. In a small cohort, a single family who enrolled expecting something different changes the experience for everyone.
You will own the full admissions process for one campus. Initial inquiry, fit discussion, campus visit, shadow day, decision delivery. You are the single point of contact from inquiry through the first day of school. A typical week might include: responding to every inquiry within four hours, guiding a skeptical parent through the afternoon program, facilitating a shadow day, recording everything in Hub Spot, and calling a family to tell them their child would thrive better elsewhere.
You will manage 20 or more active families at varying stages concurrently. You make the fit determination, and you communicate the outcome, face‑to‑face, in your own voice.
The network is expanding, and the playbook evolves alongside it. Those who establish a market write the FAQs, define the fit standards, and set the criteria the next campus adopts - and they become the name affluent families in their city share with one another.
This is an on-site role at a single campus, in person, daily. The people who excel in it: admissions and enrollment leaders from selective institutions; high-value consumer closers whose client was a family, such as luxury real estate professionals, private client advisors, or premium practice operators; and hospitality or private service professionals who have delivered white-glove experiences to discerning clients.
What You Will Be Doing- Owning the enrollment experience for every prospective family, from initial inquiry through onboarding, and conducting a genuine needs assessment before presenting the program.
- Managing 20 or more active families simultaneously, responding to every inquiry promptly and reviewing applications daily.
- Leading campus tours, open houses, information sessions, and shadow days that clearly communicate who the program is and is not designed for.
- Making the admission or decline recommendation and personally delivering the decision to the family.
- Maintaining Hub Spot and the student information system (SIS) after every interaction, leveraging AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude for preparation and summaries, and providing weekly pipeline updates to leadership.
- Pursuing a seat-fill quota. A family who enrolls and departs is a worse result than a family you decline upfront.
- Being overruled on fit to preserve a relationship or meet a yield goal.
- Following scripts, running call campaigns, or using discount tactics.
- Passing families through multiple coordinators, or waiting on a committee for routine decisions.
- Conducting amenity tours that sidestep the difficult questions.
