POSITION GOAL

Provide leadership, coordination, and oversight for procurement modernization and transition activities supporting the District’s ERP Transformation Project. Lead procurement business process redesign, governance, testing, readiness, and transition planning efforts to ensure procurement continuity, reduce operational risk, and support successful implementation of future enterprise business systems.

Essential Performance Responsibilities
  • Lead the transition workstream supporting enterprise business system modernization initiatives for Procurement and the Central Warehouse.
  • Coordinate procurement process redesign efforts to improve efficiency, standardization, internal controls, and user experience.
  • Develop and implement transition plans supporting procurement continuity during system and process changes.
  • Facilitate collaboration among Procurement & Logistic Operations, Information Systems, Finance, Legal, Internal Audit, schools, departments, and other stakeholders.
  • Assess current-state procurement processes and identify opportunities for improvement, simplification, and standardization.
  • Support development and documentation of future-state procurement business processes.
  • Coordinate testing, validation, and readiness activities associated with procurement technology modernization initiatives.
  • Identify, document, monitor, and

  • Support governance activities designed to strengthen procurement and logistic controls, accountability, compliance, and transparency.
  • Assist with development and implementation of procurement policies, procedures, workflows, and business rules.
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities to support successful adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Develop executive-level reports, presentations, dashboards, and status updates regarding Procurement and Warehouse transition activities.
  • Support training, communications, and organizational readiness efforts related to procurement modernization.
  • Collaborate with ERP project leadership, business owners, and technical teams to support implementation readiness.
  • Assist with supplier transition planning, sourcing continuity, and operational stabilization activities.
  • Monitor project milestones, deliverables, and schedules to support timely completion of assigned work.
  • Support business continuity planning and operational readiness activities.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and School Board policies, procedures, and procurement requirements.
  • Perform and promote all activities in compliance with equal employment opportunity and non-discrimination policies.
  • Participate in professional development activities related to procurement, project management, and organizational transformation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or designee.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Public Administration, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in procurement, business operations, project management, ERP systems, business transformation, or related field.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience documenting and improving business processes.
  • Knowledge of procurement operations, sourcing processes, contract administration, and internal controls.
  • Strong written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Computer skills as required for the position.
